Short Update

Well, it's pretty much official! It looks like I have torn my right rotator cuff! I have to go back to the doctor early next week to get another assessment, but I'm sure it will just confirm it. Also, the temp agency finally came through with their offer for "modified duties". What a joke! Actually, the offer is an insult, added to the injury! Our wonderful Ontario government has made it so that you have to be working for ages prior to an accident to get your full benefits. Since I was hurt 5 days into a new job, I only qualify for 12 hours a week of modified duties. That's only 1/4 of what I should be making! I'd like to see any of those bloated, government parasites survive on even 1/2 of their income, let alone 1/4 of it! I just can't figure out how they come up with the stupidity that they do! I almost refused the offer, but decided that 12 hours a week is still better than zero!

The duties I've been offered consist of photocopying, shredding and other office duties at the agency, until they can find a client company they can farm me out to. So, as of Monday morning, I'm a glorified errand boy for 3 1/2 days a week.

The thing that ticks me off the most is, the agency is making it sound like the accident was my fault, when in fact, if they had done their job right and sent me to a job that fit my abilities in the first place, this wouldn't have happened at all. I have a good mind to change agencies when my 3 weeks are up, but from what I hear, most, if not all, of the agencies are just the same as the one I am currently with.

So now I have 3 weeks to think about where I want to go and what I want to do once this situation clears up. We'll see where life takes me, I guess.

Have a great weekend everybody!

GRRRRRRRRRRRR this makes me so mad for you. So sorry to hear what idiots they are being to you, but you noticed I am not the LEAST BIT surprised. Why is the Ontario gov't so full of idiots and assholes??? My mom keeps trying to convince me to run for some sort of office. I have been so screwed my the gov't, so many times...I could write a book...

Ok sorry about that, I am under control again.Kisses and hugs hon, hang in there.

Thank you my friends! Your thoughts, prayers and support are greatly appreciated!

Flake, my youngest keeps telling me "You should be the government, Dad! You have all the answers!" LOL! The only real problem with that, I tell her, is that my answers, may not be "politically correct" and would probably stomp all over the Charter of Rights and Freedoms... which might not be a problem after all, now that I think about it! LOL!
