I keep getting these Toronto Maple Leaf jokes in my email, and since I know that some of my blog buddies are domiciled with Leafs fans, I just had to share them. Enjoy!
TORONTO, ONTARIO (CP) - A seven-year-old Toronto, Ontario boy was at the center of a Toronto city courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her.
When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Toronto Maple Leafs, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Hi Phoenix, Toronto is my hometown. Back in the 50's we HAD to watch Hockey Night in Canada every Saturday night. My Dad had to get up on the roof now and then and adjust the antennae to get the clearest possible picture. The best picture was still fuzzy and snowy and the sound sucked and being black and white we couldn't tell one team from another but we knew one of teams had to be the Leafs. It was magic.
stop by my blog when ya get a minute hon...left ya an award there...
Har! Hubby is going to love this one....
