Wish Me Luck!

I would value all positive vibes, thoughts, or whatever you call them sent my way on Wednesday. A local computer reseller has recently bought a larger building in my city and is hosting a job fair this Wednesday afternoon. I plan on attending this job fair to see if I can get employment there as a Customer Service Representative. It's a big step down for me, career-wise, but it would be steady employment! The company has a great benefit package plus a profit-sharing plan that sounds pretty decent. I don't plan on making this job, if I get it, my career, but at least it will allow me to earn an income while I work towards another possible career.

I still want to become a professional truck driver, but due to the credit issues mentioned in my last post, I'm having to shelve that idea for now. I'm hoping that by this time next year, I will have been able to save enough to pay for the course and get my license and start driving for a living. The call of the open road is very loud in my head right now, and I want to get started while the hiring boom in the trucking industry is still strong. I have a history of "just missing the boat" on a number of career choices, so this time I want to be on the boat when it sets sail!
